Geotargeting technology is successfully used in Finland. In a line of supermarkets one can meet a “clever shopping cart” for making purchases with in-built tablet. Special BLE-beacons inside the shops read signals of the tablet’s sensors and find the exact location of the shopping cart.
The platform analysis the customer’s movement inside the shop, learns his behavior and forecasts his further movements and what he would like to buy. In different spots of the trade hall the customers receive personalized notification on their tablets: information about events and discounts, recipes and navigation over the shelves of the supermarket. The technology not only simplifies shopping process, but also helps not to miss a beneficial offer or to forget anything.
